Our Team

Darien Group was founded in 2015 by Charlie Ittner to address what he perceived as a gap between the investment management industry and capable branding and communications service providers.

During his ten years working in-house in marketing and investor relations, Charlie experienced firsthand the difficulty of identifying talented marketing agencies that could capably speak the language and understand the dynamics of the financial services sector.

Charlie launched Darien Group and organically assembled a team to provide ever-higher levels of engagement with and solutions for clients in the private equity and real estate spaces. Today, we carry on this mission in hopes of making ever-greater impact on our clients’ ability to raise capital and succeed in all their business goals.

Charlie Ittner

Managing partner

Charlie Ittner founded Darien Group in 2015 in response to a lack of branding and communications service providers suitable for fund manager clients. He has built the firm to date with invaluable assistance from senior advisors from the creative services and finance industries.

Prior to founding Darien Group, Charlie Ittner worked as a Director at Platinum Equity for over eight years, serving as a chief lieutenant to the C-suite and co-managing the firm’s internal and external communications programs. He has consulted for U.S. and international private equity and real estate investment firms to advance their marketing functions. Charlie Ittner holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
